It’s official, Sacramento has finally caught up to the trendy food craze of gourmet delectable mobile eats and fortuitously, burgers! Mini Burger Truck shatters the old roach coach image and rolls in with a new age style of eating. This quality meals on wheels concept has been highly successful and some would say infectious in Southern California for quite some time now, and has finally made it’s way up to the capital city. Needless to say, the Ro Sham Burgers were anxious to try out this hip new way of dining/eating. Read More, see photos→
The Ro Sham Burgers visited Spin, Sacramento‘s newest gourmet burger joint owned by the 33rd st, Bistro co.. The RSB’s were impressed with the quality beer selection(not diverse, just quality) which included Racer 5 IPA and the local Monkey Knife Fight. Once we were all satisfied with our quenching beverage, we indulged ourselves with a unique twist on a Southern favorite(deep fried pickles). The dill pickles came lightly battered and were accompanied with a delicious sriracha ranch dipping sauce. Now that we were off to a fantastic start, it’s time to “talk burger.” The usual was ordered, bacon and white cheddar cheese burger, as well as a bison burger. All burger were ordered correctly…medium rare, of course.
I liked Burger Me in Truckee. It’s location at the end of its heavily tourist laden main drag is perfect. You can park across from Burger Me, grub, and then walk a couple blocks to the American Bar, while wives and girlfriends shopping in one of the 80 nic-nak shops along the way, it’s a win-win.
Back to the burger review.
We stopped here because Guy Feiri, had done a show from here, which usually means it’s gonna be good; and it did not disappoint. Burger Me started as a Food Bank, but quickly became known for their burgers. So, they opened Burger Me to front the operation. They still run the Food Bank, but ever since Guy stopped by, the burgers are taking front stage.
